Welcome to Kanemtrade! At Kanemtrade, your privacy is paramount.   • Contact Information: name, email address, phone number, and postal/delivery address — collected because they are required to create an account, fulfil orders, and enable delivery/logistics.
  • Account Information: username, password (stored encrypted), and profile details.
  • Payment Information: payment method details and billing address, processed via our payment partners (see Sharing Your Information below). Kanemtrade does not store full card numbers on its own servers.
  • Communication Data: messages, support tickets, and other communications with us or between buyers and sellers on the Platform.
  • Seller/Agent/Logistics/Influencer Data: business or shop details, identity verification documents, bank/settlement details, and performance stats, where applicable to your role on the Platform.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: how you browse, search, and interact with the Platform.
  • Technical Data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type/version, operating system, and similar technical information.
  • Approximate Location Data: derived from your IP address or, if you grant permission, your device's location services (e.g., to show nearby sellers or estimate delivery).
  • Log and Diagnostic Data: crash reports and performance data used to keep the app stable and secure.

Mobile App Permissions

Our mobile app may request the following device permissions, only for the stated purpose:

  • Camera / Photo Storage: to let you upload product photos, profile pictures, or verification documents.
  • Location (optional): to improve delivery estimates and show nearby sellers.
  • Notifications: to send order, delivery, and account updates.

We do not access or collect your device's contact list (phonebook). If we introduce a feature that would use your contacts in future (for example, an optional "invite a friend" tool), we will request your explicit, separate permission at that time and update this policy before doing so.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

  • Create and manage your account and provide the Platform's services
  • Process orders, payments, and deliveries
  • Communicate with you about your account, orders, or support requests
  • Personalize your experience (e.g., relevant product recommendations)
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents

  • For Legal Reasons: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • In a Business Transfer: if Kanemtrade is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
  • With Your Consent: in any other case, only with your explicit permission.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Platform, comply with legal/tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit — to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Restrict or object to certain processing

Account & Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by:

  1. Going to Account Settings → Delete Account in the Kanemtrade app or website, or
  2. Emailing [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion Request"

We will process deletion requests within [2] business days, except where we are required to retain certain data (e.g., transaction records) for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some features.

Third-Party Links
